Questions families ask
Where do lessons happen?
In a pool your family arranges: your own backyard pool, a neighbor's with their say-so, or a community pool whose rules allow outside instructors. We teach where the pool's rules allow it.
What does my family provide?
A pool with a fence and a gate that closes, a shady place to sit, an adult on the deck for the whole class and a towel for each swimmer. Your family follows its own local rules for the pool and its barrier.
Can neighbors share a lesson?
Yes. Two to four swimmers of the same level can share a lesson time at one pool. When one swimmer moves up, we adjust the group.
How do I place my swimmer?
At the first visit an instructor gets in the water with your swimmer, looks at how they enter, blow bubbles, float with support and move along the wall, and suggests a level.
How long is a class?
A class is thirty minutes, and a session runs six weeks. The enrollment page shows the week-by-week times.
What should my swimmer wear and bring?
Swim shirts are welcome in every class. Tie long hair back, bring goggles if your swimmer likes them, and have a dry towel on the deck. We ask every swimmer to wear a cap in their level's color.
Where do I watch?
From the deck, in sight of the water, with phones away from the pool's edge. An adult from your family stays for the whole class.
Who is in the water with my swimmer?
An instructor is in the water with every class.
What if we miss a class, or the weather turns?
A missed class can be made up in the same session, space allowing. A class moved for a storm, a very hot afternoon or poor air is made up too.
Do you speak Tagalog?
Yes. Amihan speaks English and Tagalog, and she answers the phone.
