Family policies
What families ask before the first class.
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
In the pool, and watching
An instructor is in the water with every class. An adult from your family stays on the deck for the whole class, in sight of the water. Lessons are no substitute for adult supervision.
What to wear and bring
Swim shirts are welcome in every class. Please tie long hair back, bring goggles if your swimmer likes them and have a dry towel on the deck. We ask every swimmer to wear a cap in their level's color.
When to keep your child home
Please keep your swimmer home with a fever, a stomach bug or anything that spreads, and tell us so we can offer a make-up class. If someone at a shared pool is unwell, tell us before we come.
Closures for weather and holidays
We tell families by text when a class moves for a storm, a very hot afternoon, poor air or a pool that its owner or board has closed. A class moved for these reasons is made up in the same session.
Absences and late arrival
Tell us by text when your swimmer can't make a class, and we will offer a make-up. If your family is running late, the instructor waits a short while, then the class runs for the time that is left.
Leaving the program
Please give us two weeks' notice before a swimmer leaves, ahead of the next session. What happens to a session in progress is on the enrollment page.
Screens and phones
Please keep phones away from the water's edge. At a shared pool, photos of other families' swimmers are not allowed.
Brothers, sisters and neighbors at the pool
Brothers, sisters and friends are welcome on the deck with an adult from your family. Please keep them out of the water and away from the pool's edge during class.
